Key Responsibilities
? Provide instruction and support to K-12 students who are blind, visually impaired, or experiencing vision loss.
? Teach core curriculum subjects, Braille literacy, and essential independent living skills.
Required Skills
? Proficiency in teaching strategies tailored for students with visual impairments.
? Familiarity with Braille literacy and standard curriculum subjects.
? Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
? Capability to work autonomously as a tele-educator.
Qualifications
? A Master's degree in Education for Visually Impaired Students or a related discipline.
? Valid Washington teaching certification (ESA) in Visual Education for grades K-12.
? Prior experience in virtual teaching is advantageous but not mandatory.
