Nursing professionals with cardiac telemetry experience will find a rewarding opportunity in Mooresville, NC, working on a specialized Telemetry unit within a comprehensive medical center focused on advanced cardiac care. This contract role offers a 36-hour weekly schedule with shifts covering both day and evening, and every other weekend off, providing a balanced work-life rhythm. The unit maintains a patient ratio of 4:1, caring for adult cardiac patients ranging from young adults to the elderly, managing conditions such as chest pain, atrial fibrillation, congestive heart failure, and peri-procedural cardiac catheter care. Key Responsibilities: • Deliver quality nursing care in a telemetry setting, monitoring cardiac patients using equipment like Life Paks, Zoll devices, and Masimo monitors. • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care before and after cardiac interventions. • Maintain accurate clinical documentation in electronic health records. • Occasionally float to Intermediate Care Unit, Neurological Progressive Care Unit, or Surgical units as needed. Qualifications and Experience: • Current RN licensure with at least two years of experience in telemetry nursing. • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required. • Proficiency with cardiac monitoring equipment and familiarity with Cerner electronic health records preferred. • Associates degree in Nursing or higher. • Comfortable working in a family-oriented unit environment. • Scrub attire is flexible with no strict color requirements.
