Title : Technical Data Program Manager Location : Remote Full time and contract to hire Rate FTE / C2H Job Summary The Technical Data Program Manager will lead a large-scale data migration initiative focused on transitioning from SAS to PySpark. This role combines deep technical expertise in data engineering and architecture with strong program management leadership. The ideal candidate will serve as both a technical SME and a program leader, ensuring successful delivery across design, development, testing, and deployment phases. Key Responsibilities Technical Leadership & Architecture • Define and own the end-to-end architecture for the SAS-to-PySpark data migration program. • Provide SME-level guidance on SAS, PySpark, Spark, and Python usage, best practices, and solution design. • Oversee data integration, ETL modernization, and data warehousing design aligned with enterprise standards. • Ensure architectural alignment with cloud platforms (preferably Azure). • Support UAT planning, production deployment, and stabilization activities. Program & Stakeholder Management • Lead and manage large, complex multi-track technical programs with cross-functional teams. • Drive program planning, execution, risk mitigation, and delivery of all migration milestones. • Communicate program status, risks, timelines, and decisions to senior leadership and stakeholders. • Collaborate with engineering, data, QA, architecture, and business teams to ensure alignment on scope, deliverables, and resource plans. • Facilitate workshops, design reviews, sprint planning, and status meetings to maintain project transparency and momentum. Qualifications • 15 20+ years of experience in Technical Program Management leading large-scale, complex technology initiatives. • Proven experience delivering data migration programs, especially SAS-to-PySpark migration. • Strong hands-on understanding of SAS, Spark, PySpark, and Python. • Solid knowledge of ETL, data integration, and data warehousing concepts. • Experience with Azure or other major cloud platforms. • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills. Preferred Skills • Ability to work in fast-paced, large enterprise environments. • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. • Experience coordinating across globally distributed teams.
