That's why we organize annual offsite retreats in the beautiful setting of Park City and Mexico!Who You Are:As a Shopify Engineer at Stay, you will play a crucial role in onboarding new merchants to the Stay platform. Our white glove onboarding process is integral to the success of our merchants on the platform and you will play an important role providing theme work for those merchants.What You’ll Do:Develop, customize, and maintain Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/ES6.Implement responsive, mobile-first designs and ensure cross-browser compatibility.Collaborate with onboarding managers and back-end developers to translate UI/UX wireframes into functional, polished storefronts.Design with an eye for site speed, accessibility, and overall performance.Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to themes, storefront performance, and integrations.What You’ll Bring:Stay current with Shopify updates, front-end best practices, and emerging technologies.2–4+ years of experience as a Front-End Developer, with a focus on eCommerce.Hands-on experience with Shopify theme development and the Liquid templating language.Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3/Sass, JavaScript (ES6+), and jQuery.Understanding of SEO best practices and web performance optimization.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Comfortable working with minimal oversight in a fast-paced startup environmentExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage multiple tasks and timelines in a fast-moving environmentNice to Haves:Experience with version control (Git) and modern build tools (Webpack, npm, etc.) a plusExperience with landing page builders (Shogun, Replo, PageFly, Instant, Gempages) a plusFamiliarity with Figma, Adobe XD, or similar design tools for front-end implementationWhy Join Us?:Massive opportunity: Help build the onboarding engine at a fast-scaling SaaS companyReal product-market fit: Stay AI solves urgent problems for fast-growing brandsElite team: Work alongside humble professionals who know how to winImpact: You’ll be a foundational part of a high-performance org
