Remote Part-Time Research Mentor

Indigo Research provides a unique opportunity to mentor highly motivated high school students from around the world, helping them learn about academic research and complete a college-level project. Our program offers high-quality research mentorship to aspiring students from diverse backgrounds, with the goals of giving them valuable experience in academic research and making a significant impact on their future academic and professional careers.

As an Indigo Research Mentor, you will work remotely and connect with students via video call. You will guide them through the research and writing process, with the goal of helping them complete and publish a small independent research project, such as a literature review, research paper, or even an App! Through your guidance and mentorship, you will help students develop their skills, discover their passions, and unlock their potential.

Qualifications:

Faculty currently employed at US top 15 or UK top 10 universities OR previously in academia who are now a full-time researcher

A high degree of empathy and deep cross-cultural comfort when working with high-school students

Comfortable receiving feedback and implementing changes

Flexible when working in a start-up environment

Sound judgment and knowing when to ask for support!
