Manager - Purchasing
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team at American Express as a Manager of Purchasing. Develop and implement purchasing strategies to meet company objectives.
Manage the procurement process and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
Conduct market research and analysis to identify the best suppliers and negotiate favorable terms and prices.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and requirements for purchasing.
Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure the best quality and pricing for products and services.
Continuously review and improve the purchasing process to increase efficiency and cost savings.
Monitor and track spending to ensure adherence to budget and cost-saving goals.
Train and lead a team of purchasing professionals to support the procurement process.
Stay updated on industry trends and market conditions to make informed purchasing decisions.
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures as well as legal and ethical standards.
Prepare and present reports and recommendations to senior management.
Identify opportunities for cost reduction and implement strategies to achieve savings.
Resolve any issues or disputes with suppliers in a timely and professional manner.
Maintain accurate and organized purchasing records for auditing purposes.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the purchasing department.
