Marcom is Apple?s Global Marketing Communications group. We oversee Apple?s advertising and marketing to ensure the flawless development and execution of world-class communications.
The role of a Clearances & Licensing Manager at Apple is to drive the curation, clearance and licensing of rights-managed content in Apple marketing. In this role, you will work closely with the larger Business Affairs team, including Geo teams, as well as App Store and Apple Pay marketing teams to understand the deliverables and content needs and recommend and secure appropriate content.
Key Qualifications
? Minimum 7-10 years of relevant experience on a business affairs, clearances or licensing team at a creative agency, within entertainment or another content-driven industry
? Experience in negotiating rights, analyzing risk, and developing processes regarding business affairs contracts and licenses for marketing and/or advertising.
? Proficiency in current document and database systems.
? Experience in presenting rights and licensing-related topics to client groups and employees.
? Exceptional organizational, prioritization, and time management skills.
? Proactive contributor who can work independently and collaboratively.
? Demonstrated ability to lead multiple complex projects simultaneously.
? Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to effectively interact with a diverse range of personalities and styles to establish effective relationships across the organization.
? Self-motivated, flexible, and comfortable navigating rapid change in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
? Ability to handle high-level responsibilities.
? Dynamic and inquisitive problem solver who consistently seeks solutions through thoughtful questioning and in-depth analysis.
Description
? Collaborate closely with internal teams to understand marketing deliverables, recommend content, draft agreements, and negotiate usage rights and more.
? Review marketing and advertising materials and identify rights and compliance issues, traffic assets, facilitate communication between multiple stakeholders across the company, provide strategic options to internal teams.
? Work with relevant Business Affairs colleagues and third parties to secure consent and clear rights for Apple marketing / advertising use.
? Partner with Legal as needed to assess risks.
? Facilitate internal communication between teams so projects are moving forward (flag legal issues, content constraints, timing, etc.)
? Maintain communication with team leads to make sure information is flowing properly, action items are clear and issues are escalated at the right time and to the right people.
? Brief Business Affairs teammates in Geos on third party content needs so they can source appropriate, relevant, and available content for their respective Geos.
? Use existing rights management systems to track and report the availability of content for distribution to various departments.
? Manage a heavy workload of third-party curation and clearances.
? Attend kickoff meetings with internal teams
