Job Title - Investigation & Forensic Analyst (Office and remote, preferred to be local to SD or Franklin Lakes) Location - San Diego, CA Duration - 12+ Months Contract Total Hours/week - 40.00 (Traditional 8-5 w/ 1 hour lunch) 1st Shift Client: Medical Device Company Job Category: Operations Employment Type: Contract on W2 (Need US Citizens Or GC Holders Only) Description: Physical Demands: Use of computer, phone, ability to travel globally. Work Environment: Office and remote, preferred to be local to SD or Franklin Lakes. Other candidates will be considered. 3 Must haves on the resume: previous experience with sensitive investigations & forensic tools The Investigation & Forensic Analyst is responsible for identifying exposures to Client sensitive information through forensic data acquisition, data collection from various platforms, forensic analysis, media preservation, restoration and conversion services. This position must be able to work with a high degree of independence and effectively interact with associates from entry level tech to Executive Vice Presidents. A strong combination of technical understanding, communication and documentation is vital to the success of this role. As part of that, you will use your skill set to: conduct investigations in sensitive cases, report on and present findings to business partners, develop solutions to improve efficiency in technical processes, and analyze forensic artifacts. You are comfortable providing fact-based reports to various levels of the organization within a fast-paced environment. You have previous investigation experience, effective analytical skills. You will be accountable for setting your own work direction and completing investigations. The omission of a specific duty or responsibility will not preclude it from the position. • Properly acquire, preserve and process electronic data to industry standards • Perform forensic analysis on various devices • Produce quality evidence-based reports as necessary • Cyber incident triage and forensics evaluation for cyber threats • Interface effectively in key relationships such as Security Operations, and be able to partner with Legal and HR as necessary • Evaluate risk based on questionnaires and draft reports • Accountable for setting own work direction and completing work tasks • Conduct interviews and provide appropriate reports to key stakeholders which summarize the findings. • Deliver investigation recommendations and reporting by collecting, evaluating and disseminating accurate and timely intelligence information to appropriate managers. • Assist with additional projects as needed Basic Qualifications: • Incident management training and experience in a large-scale environment • In-depth knowledge of Windows operating systems, other OS’s such as IoS and Linux a plus • Previous experience with Data Loss Prevention technologies and platforms • Previous experience working with Encase and Forensic Toolkit (FTK) • Previous experience in Network monitoring platforms • Preferred Certifications: CERT-Certified Computer Security Incident Handler Certification, CISSP, HCISSP • Previous experience in Network monitoring platforms • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills • Proven ability to deliver tough messages in a professional manner. Proven ability to act independently and to execute with limited information and ambiguity Education And/or Experience: • 1-3 years’ experience in forensics and Incident response in a full-time role is required • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems or similar • Detail-oriented with the ability to promptly assess documents for accuracy as well as consistency • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence others in a positive and effective manner • Ability to work in a team environment • Excellent communication skills; both oral and written • Demonstrated ability to contribute to a continuous learning and process improvement environment.
