Job Summary As a Senior Architect - Cloud Network Security, you will be part of a cross-disciplinary Digital team responsible for full-stack security engineering. You will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining cloud security capabilities for United Airlines. This position requires a strong and diverse skillset in relevant areas to drive success. Key Responsibilities: • Develop and advance security and resilience engineering strategies, systems, and patterns while collaborating with other cybersecurity teams and partner organizations. • Effectively cooperate with teammates to understand business requirements and foster supporting security and resilience standards to ensure adoption of industry and enterprise standard systems. • Demonstrate mastery of technology expertise in at least two areas, such as security, resilience, infrastructure, platform, product, endpoint, application, identity management, and data security, and zero trust. • Analyze technical risks of existing organization/system and application architectures (IaaS/PaaS/SaaS and on-premise) against connecting policies and threats, and provide proper remediation or risk reduction plans. • Help define and implement Security Principles and systems. • Train and mentor development and engineering teams to integrate CI/CD pipeline tools, test plans, and vulnerability assessment instruments for Cloud. • Act as a thought leader for secure infrastructure as-code for start-to-finish design and overall outcome of the IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS environments. • Perform threat modeling, end-to-end security assessment, design and development of cloud security solutions, guidelines, and systems for different types of public/private/hybrid clouds. Requirements Essential Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in a related field. • 4+ years of technical experience directly related to cloud (AWS). • Experience in AWS security, management, and administration services. • Proven experience in the development, implementation, and execution of security technologies, including application security, data security, network security, and identity and access management. • Solid knowledge of cloud computing technologies. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. • Knowledge of programming language designs and logic. • Familiarity with common threat tactics, techniques, and procedures. • Understanding of how traffic flows across the network and packet-level analysis. • Secure software development lifecycle (SSDLC). • Experience with developer and DevOps experience from code deployment to infrastructure image build, continuous integration, and continuous deployment. Preferred Qualifications: • Graduate degree. • 8+ years of technical experience, with 5 years directly related to cloud. • CCIE, CCDE, or equivalent vendor certifications. • AWS Solution Architect Expert, Networking, and Security Specializations. • CISSP, ISSAP, ISSEP, ISSMP. • CISM, CRISC, CEH, GIAC certifications. • CKA and Security (Kubernetes). • CDK.
