As a Call Center Agent/Customer Service Representative, you will play a critical role in handling inbound telephone calls related to individual and business tax compliance, delinquency, and general information requests. This is a unique opportunity to work with a leading organization in the tax industry and develop your skills in a challenging and rewarding environment. About the Role This is a contract-to-hire position, with a duration of 11 months or more, and the possibility of transitioning to a permanent role. You will work remotely, but you will be required to attend an orientation session and collect equipment on the first day of the job. Key Responsibilities Handle inbound telephone calls in a fast-paced environment, providing professional and courteous service to customers. Resolve Tier 1 level issues related to tax compliance, delinquency, and general information requests. Review taxpayer accounts, verify, gather, and update key information, and educate taxpayers on online resources and current tax policies. Submit requests for payment arrangements and participate in team engagement activities. Meet performance expectations and maintain a high level of productivity and quality. Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you should have: A high school diploma or equivalent. At least 2 years of experience in a call center environment, preferably in industries such as finance, banking, insurance, or telecommunications. Strong ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment. Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google applications. Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally. A bias for serving others and a positive attitude. Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are highly preferred: Spanish-speaking ability. Previous experience in a tax-related industry or a similar field.
