Your work will support the development of internal frameworks, compliance processes, and research that ensures our technology evolves responsibly. You’ll collaborate with teams across engineering, product, and design to analyze risks, interpret evolving regulations, and integrate ethical foresight into ongoing R&D. This role is well-suited for individuals interested in AI governance, tech policy, law, human rights, or the societal impact of advanced automation. Key Responsibilities • Research ethical and legal considerations related to AI, robotics, and autonomous systems, including issues such as privacy, accountability, fairness, and intellectual property. • Assist in preparing governance and compliance materials, including internal policies, ethics guidelines, and documentation for responsible development. • Monitor emerging regulatory trends, reviewing global legislation and policy proposals that may affect future AI and robotics initiatives. • Support ethical risk assessments, helping identify potential social, legal, and societal implications of new projects or features. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, contributing ethical insights during product planning, engineering reviews, and innovation discussions. • Draft research summaries, white papers, and reports, translating complex topics into clear, concise insights for internal and external audiences. • Participate in workshops and strategy sessions, sharing observations on governance, compliance, and responsible innovation practices. Qualifications & Skills • Strong research and writing skills, with the ability to evaluate complex legal or ethical topics. • Familiarity with AI governance, data protection, or technology law is a plus. • Interest in public policy, ethics, human rights, or emerging technology regulation. • Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and critical thinking. • Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, product, and design teams. • Experience in legal analysis, policy research, or academic writing is preferred but not required. Why Join Us • Fully remote & flexible schedule. Work from anywhere, either full time (up to 40 hours per week) or part time (minimum 8–10 hours per week). • Hands-on, impactful work. Contribute to ethical frameworks and governance practices that guide the responsible development of AI and robotics. • Career-advancing experience. Build practical experience in policy research, legal analysis, AI governance, and responsible innovation. • Mentorship & learning. Work with professionals across technology, policy, and ethics who support your development as a thoughtful contributor in the field. • Growth pathways. Eligibility for our Earn & Learn program after successful completion of the internship. We actively collaborate with universities to offer college credit for this internship.
