Data Quality Analyst – Remote Work

Job Summary IBM is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Quality Analyst to join our team remotely. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of data across multiple systems, helping IBM make data-driven decisions that drive business growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for maintaining high-quality data standards in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities • Conduct data profiling, validation, and cleansing activities to maintain high-quality datasets. • Collaborate with data stewards, business analysts, and IT teams to identify and resolve data quality issues. • Develop and implement data quality metrics, dashboards, and reporting processes to monitor data health. • Support data governance initiatives, ensuring compliance with IBM’s data policies and standards. • Assist in the design and execution of data quality improvement projects. • Document data issues, root causes, and remediation plans for continuous improvement. • Perform regular audits and reconcile data discrepancies across multiple sources. Required Skills and Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Statistics, or related field. • Strong understanding of data quality concepts, data profiling, and data validation techniques. • Hands-on experience with SQL and database querying. • Familiarity with data governance tools and frameworks is preferred. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail. • Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with cross-functional teams. • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while managing priorities effectively. Experience • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in data quality analysis, data management, or a related field. • Experience in handling large datasets and performing data reconciliation across multiple systems. • Prior exposure to data governance and data quality tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, Collibra) is an advantage. Working Hours • Full-time, remote position. • Flexible working hours, with occasional alignment to global team schedules. • Must be able to attend virtual meetings as needed. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities • Strong logical and critical thinking skills. • Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (Excel, Power BI, or Tableau). • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a remote setting. • Knowledge of data privacy and security best practices. • Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
