About the Role & Program ABC and Hulu’s compelling programming includes “Only Murders in the Building,” “The Handmaid’s Tale,” “Grey’s Anatomy,” the longest-running medical drama in primetime television; exciting dramas “High Potential”, “Paradise,” and “The Rookie,” trailblazing comedies “Abbott Elementary,” “Shifting Gears,” and the highly-anticipated return of “Scrubs”; animated juggernauts “Futurama” and “King of the Hill”; reality phenomenon “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives”, the “Bachelor” franchise, “Shark Tank,” “Dancing with the Stars”; “General Hospital,” which has aired for more than 55 years on the network; and late-night talk show “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” The network also boasts some of television’s most prestigious awards shows, including “The Oscars®,” “The Grammys®,” “The CMA Awards” and the “American Music Awards.” The ABC and Hulu Comedy team oversees all primetime and streaming scripted comedy series development and current programming. This is a full-time internship, and the approximate dates of this internship are January 2026 through June 2026. If selected for this role, you will report directly to the Coordinator of Comedy Development. What You Will Do Responsibilities include but are not limited to: • Supporting Assistants with production grids, project tracking, calendar invites, checking and tracking calls/voicemails, video conference setups and general daily administrative tasks. • Supporting the Coordinator in various administrative tasks and project tracking. • Reading scripts, writing coverage and engaging in/consuming and tracking various forms of media that could be of interest to the development team, including but not limited to podcasts, television series, movies, novels, comic books, web series, social media personalities, etc. • Distribution of various documents and media internally. Required Qualifications & Skills • Proven skills utilizing Google Suite and MS Office Suite, including Google Drive, Google Sheets, Google Docs, Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint. • Previous internship experience within a related field. • An interest in scripted television and hunger to learn about television. • Strong attention to detail. • Responsible, dependable, and organized with excellent communication/writing skills. • Must be able to multi-task and prioritize assignments by deadline Preferred Qualifications • Experience in covering phone lines for executives and/or senior leadership. • Knowledge of current series on ABC, Hulu, and other networks. • Interest in comedy and knowledge of stand-up, improv, and sketch talent. Education • Senior year preferred Eligibility Requirements & Program Information Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements: • Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship. • Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program. • Be at least 18 years of age • Possess unrestricted work authorization Additional Required Documents • A cover letter indicating your interest in the ABC & Hulu Comedy Intern, Spring 2026 position is required. Additional Information • Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship • The approximate dates of this internship are January 2026 through June 2026 • Fully available from Monday through Friday, 9am to 6pm PT for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week • Able to provide own housing for the duration internship program in the Burbank, California area • Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work The pay rate for this role in California is $22.50 per hour.
